		<description>‘Chicago’ is superb

My wife and I saw Macon Little Theatre’s production of “Chicago” this past Friday. In a word, it was superb. The 20 cast and crew were perfect. The choreography was “spot on” and the dancers’ execution of it was flawless. The energy and enthusiasm of the performers and musicians filled the theater with electricity. We’ve seen quite a few shows at MLT and they have all been very good, but this production takes the cake.

Before each show, the theater manager, John Jones, comes out on stage with a few announcements. This Friday, he could hardly contain himself as he described the treat we were in for. He mentioned that they were doing a revival on Broadway and that tickets cost $120, so we should realize what a bargain we were getting. Well, Mr. Jones, I’d have paid $120 to see the MLT production.
