Macon Little Theatre presents “The Honky Tonk Angels” a musical comedy by Ted Swindley, the author of the hit “Always Patsy Cline”. Join us on a hilarious, rollicking and touching journey that celebrates the voices of women in country music. Experience Stand by Your Man, Coal Miner’s Daughter, Delta Dawn, 9 to 5, Harper Valley PTA, I Will Always Love You and many other great songs through the voices of the three country gals who meet on a bus on their way to Nashville to follow the “music city dream” of becoming a star. Romance, husband problems, independence and a little gospel thrown in for good measure result in a thrilling theatrical mixture of laughter, friendship and maybe a tear or two.

SWING! is a celebration of the music and dance phenomenon that swept the nation in the ‘30s and ‘40s and has returned to become one of today’s fastest growing trends. More than a dance revue, SWING! crosses ethnic and cultural barriers, hi-lighting an eclectic mix of Jive, Latin Swing, West Coast Swing and Hip-Hop Swing.

“Two thirds rhythm and one third soul.” That’s how Fats Waller defined the uniquely American form of popular music and dance known as “swing.” SWING! celebrates this remarkable diversity to the beat of the most exhilarating songs of the period. But as this enthralling song-and-dance show makes abundantly clear, swing was never a time or place — it has always been a state of mind! To borrow the title’s punctuation mark: It’s not art! It’s not cerebral! What it has to offer is a good time for the whole family. In short, it’s a show perfectly timed for the good time season.

Registration for the Macon Little Kid’s Theatre Camp is drawing to a close.

We will accept registrations for the May 31 – June 4 Mini-Camp through May 28.

We will accept registrations for the June 7 – 18 Main Camp through June 4.

Applications can be picked up at Macon Little Theatre between the hours of 11 AM and 6 PM.
